Itinerary

Day 1:
Welcome to Europamundo! We’ll transfer you to the hotel and you’ll have some free time. In the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

Important:

Check-in: Please note that hotel check-in time is usually at 02:00 p.m. If you require earlier room availability, consider booking an additional night at the beginning of your trip.

Additional Nights: If you requested additional nights, your room will be ready upon arrival at the hotel, but your trip guide will only contact you when the included activities begin. At the reception, you will find an information board with our staff’s telephone number and hours of assistance. Until then, you have free time to enjoy at your leisure. The hotel staff can assist you with any information you need.

Optional Activities: During your trip, your guide may offer optional activities. If these activities are available on the Europamundo app or through your "My Trip" link, we strongly recommend booking them as early as possible to ensure availability. Waiting until the last minute may result in missed opportunities due to limited tickets, bus seats, or other factors.

Note: The schedules provided in this itinerary are indicative. The guide may adjust them as needed to enhance the trip experience.
Day 2: Prague
07:45 a.m. - We’ll begin our city tour with a local guide. The tour, lasting approximately two and a half hours, will take us on a walking exploration of Prague’s oldest and highest area, home to its castle and citadel, where we’ll find historic churches and palaces. From here, we’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the “City of a Hundred Spires.”

We’ll then continue to the lower part of the city, the Baroque district known as "Mala Strana" or Lesser Town. Crossing the Vltava River via the iconic Charles Bridge, a masterpiece of architecture and sculpture, we’ll take in a stunning panoramic view of the city before entering Stare Mesto, the Old Town. Here, we’ll find its famous square, considered one of the most beautiful in Central Europe, featuring the Church of Tyn and the renowned Town Hall with its astronomical clock and carillon.

07:00 p.m. - In the evening, we’ll include a transfer to the historic center, where you’ll find numerous traditional breweries, as well as restaurants and other lively spots to dine and experience Prague’s vibrant nightlife.

09:30 p.m. - Return to the hotel.
Day 3: Prague – České Budějovice – Český Krumlov – Vienna
Total distance covered: 383 km
Scenery: Throughout the day we will cross the rolling landscapes of the Bohemian region, with its forests, green hills, and traditional red-roofed villages, before entering the vineyard valleys and plains of northern Austria.

Note: We recommend comfortable shoes for walking on cobblestone historic centers and a camera to capture the views of Český Krumlov.

08:00 hrs. Prague – Departure. We leave the Czech capital behind and head south, crossing beautiful rural landscapes with small villages, farmland, and gentle hills.

10:00 hrs. České Budějovice – Arrival. This city, the capital of South Bohemia, is famous for its beer-making history and refined urban center. We will have free time to explore its majestic Přemysl Otakar II Square, one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, surrounded by colorful burgher houses, and to stroll along its cobblestone streets.

11:30 hrs. České Budějovice – Departure. The road takes us toward one of the most treasured gems of Czech heritage.

12:15 hrs. Český Krumlov – Arrival. Nestled on a meander of the Vltava River, this medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, preserves a unique charm, with its castle perched above the ravine, winding cobblestone alleys, and Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque houses. We will have free time to wander through its historic center and enjoy lunch in one of its picturesque restaurants.

15:15 hrs. Český Krumlov – Departure. We cross the border into Austria, taking in the first views of the wine valleys of Lower Austria.

18:30 hrs. Vienna – Arrival. Welcome to the elegant Austrian capital, the imperial city of music, art, and palaces.

Day 4: Vienna
09:00 a.m. - We’ll begin our panoramic tour of Vienna, guided by a local expert. This two-and-a-half-hour tour will showcase the famous Ringstrasse, Vienna’s main boulevard, the Opera House, the exterior of the Hofburg Palace, the Prater Gardens, Belvedere Palace, and the University. The tour will conclude at Schönbrunn Palace. Guests who wish to visit the palace can do so (tickets not included), while others will be transported back to the city center. We’ll make two stops during the tour.

07:00 p.m. - We’ll provide a transfer to Town Hall Square, where you can enjoy the evening lights and the vibrant atmosphere of the surrounding streets. Our guide will help you get acquainted with the area.

09:30 p.m. - Return to the hotel.

Day 5: Vienna – Krems - Durnstein - Spitz - Melk - St Florian - Linz
Total distance covered: 224 km.
Scenery: Following the course of the Danube, we will travel through the romantic Wachau Valley, among gentle hills covered with vineyards, picturesque medieval villages, and river views that have inspired artists and poets.

08:30 hrs. Vienna – Departure. We leave the Austrian capital behind to enter the charming Wachau Valley, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

10:00 hrs. Krems – Arrival and a short stop in this historic city, one of the oldest in Austria, noted for its well-preserved medieval center, its Baroque houses, and its charming narrow streets.

11:00 hrs. Krems – Departure along a small road following the Danube.

11:15 hrs. Dürnstein – Arrival with time for a walk through this idyllic village surrounded by vineyards, with colorful houses and a romantic atmosphere. Here are the ruins of the castle where Richard the Lionheart was once imprisoned.

12:15 hrs. Dürnstein – Departure continuing along the Danube Valley.

13:00 hrs. Melk – Arrival. Free time for lunch. Afterwards, we will visit Melk Abbey (entrance and visit included), one of the great jewels of European Baroque, with its monumental library, the Marble Hall, and majestic gardens. (Note: the interior visit may be conducted with an English-speaking guide).

15:30 hrs. Melk – Departure. We continue the route through rural landscapes to our next stop.
16:45 hrs. St. Florian – Arrival. Short stop to admire the exterior of its magnificent Augustinian abbey, one of the most important in Austria.

17:45 hrs. St. Florian – Departure.

18:15 hrs. Linz – Arrival at the country’s third-largest city, Linz, which combines tradition and modernity on the banks of the Danube. We suggest a walk through its charming old town and the lively Hauptplatz.

Day 6: Linz- Gmunden- Ebensee- St Wolfgang- Salzburg
Total distance covered: 154 km.
Scenery: Today will be the “day of the lakes,” as we travel through the heart of the Salzkammergut lake region, surrounded by alpine mountains, dense forests, and crystal-clear waters that reflect the natural charm of Austria.

Note: Comfortable clothing, suitable walking shoes, and a camera are recommended to capture the lake landscapes.

08:30 a.m. Linz – Departure. We’ll travel through gentle hills and green valleys toward the Traunsee region.

09:45 a.m. Gmunden – Arrival. This elegant summer resort town on the northern shore of Lake Traunsee is known for its lakeside Ort Castle and 19th-century villas.

11:30 a.m. – After some time to stroll, we’ll enjoy a one-hour panoramic cruise on Lake Traunsee, sailing among alpine peaks and stately villas.

12:25 p.m. Ebensee – Disembarkation. From this quiet village on the lake, we resume our route through the landscapes of the Salzkammergut.

01:00 p.m. St. Wolfgang – Arrival. This charming village, considered one of the most beautiful in Austria, preserves its alpine atmosphere with cobblestone streets and flower-adorned houses. Free time for lunch and to enjoy the surroundings of Lake Wolfgangsee, a traditional pilgrimage site since the Middle Ages.

03:00 p.m. St. Wolfgang – Departure. We’ll journey into forested valleys toward one of the country’s great destinations.

04:00 p.m. Salzburg – Arrival. Free afternoon in this Baroque jewel, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We suggest exploring its perfectly preserved old town with medieval squares and Renaissance churches, visiting Mozart’s birthplace, climbing up to Hohensalzburg Fortress, or relaxing in the Mirabell Gardens.
Day 7: Salzburg - Salzwelten – Zeel Am See – Krimml – Innsbruck
Total distance covered: 260 km.
Scenery: Today is the “day of mountain landscapes.” We’ll cross some of the most spectacular natural settings in Austria, with majestic mountains, glacial valleys, and crystal-clear lakes.
Note: Comfortable and safe footwear is recommended for the visit to the Krimml waterfalls.

08:30 a.m. Salzburg – Departure. We leave Mozart’s city and head into the Austrian Alps.

09:00 a.m. Salzwelten – Arrival. Visit to the oldest salt mines in the world still in operation. The tour includes an underground train, a boat ride on a saline lake, and historic tunnels, revealing the secrets of the “white gold” of the Alps.

10:45 a.m. Salzwelten – Departure. We’ll continue toward the most picturesque alpine valleys of the region.

12:15 p.m. Zell am See – Arrival. This charming town, located by Lake Zeller See and surrounded by high peaks, combines natural beauty with medieval heritage. Free time for lunch, strolling through its historic center, and enjoying the lakeside atmosphere.

02:15 p.m. Zell am See – Departure. We enter the Hohe Tauern National Park, a paradise of unspoiled nature.

03:15 p.m. Krimml – Arrival. Accompanied by our guide, we’ll walk about 15 minutes to admire the Krimml waterfalls (admission included), with a height of 380 meters spread across three impressive tiers. A natural wonder that fascinates with its power and beauty.

05:00 p.m. Krimml – Departure. We continue through the Tyrolean valleys heading west.

06:45 p.m. Innsbruck – Arrival. Capital of Tirol and host to two Winter Olympic Games, Innsbruck offers a charming pedestrian old town, dominated by the famous Golden Roof and surrounded by spectacular alpine scenery.
Day 8: Innsbruck - Swaroski - Seefeld - Mittenwald - Innsbruck
Total distance covered: 119 km.
Scenery: Throughout the day we’ll travel through high mountain landscapes, among Tyrolean valleys, dense alpine forests, and charming villages with traditional Bavarian architecture.

Note: Today we’ll briefly cross the border between Austria and Germany; valid identification is required.

08:30 a.m. Innsbruck – Departure. We’ll head toward the artistic heart of crystal in a natural setting of great beauty.

09:00 a.m. Swarovski – Arrival. In Wattens, we’ll visit the Swarovski Kristallwelten Museum (admission included), a fascinating experience where art, technology, and design blend in sensory rooms and dazzling sculptures, such as the iconic giant head guarding the gardens.

10:30 a.m. Swarovski – Departure. We ascend along an alpine road toward a popular mountain destination.

11:15 a.m. Seefeld – Arrival. Located at more than 1,100 meters above sea level, this elegant town is known for its refined atmosphere, ski resort, and charming pedestrian center. Free time to enjoy the surroundings.

12:15 p.m. Seefeld – Departure. We cross the border into Germany, traveling through the region of Bavaria.

12:45 p.m. Mittenwald – Arrival. This beautiful Bavarian village is noted for its fresco-painted houses (Lüftlmalerei) and its centuries-old tradition of violin making. Free time for lunch and a stroll through its peaceful streets.

02:15 p.m. Mittenwald – Departure. Return through alpine landscapes.

03:30 p.m. Innsbruck – Arrival. Free afternoon to continue exploring this alpine capital, go shopping, or enjoy its cafés with mountain views.
Day 9: Innsbruck - Vienna
Total distance covered: approx. 475 km.
Scenery: During the train journey, we’ll cross the majestic Austrian Alps, with views of glacial valleys, alpine villages, and vast rural landscapes that showcase the beauty of the heart of Austria.

Note: The trip to Vienna will be on a regular train without a Europamundo guide. Private transfer to the station in Innsbruck and ticket delivery are included. In some cases, depending on the number of passengers, this journey may be made by coach accompanied by our guide.

09:14 a.m. (scheduled). Innsbruck – Departure by train. Scenic journey of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes, comfortable and panoramic, crossing the Alps and the region of Styria.

01:45 p.m. (scheduled). Vienna – Scheduled arrival.
Day 10:
After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.

Note: Please be aware that the hotel check-out time is usually 10:00 a.m. You can leave your luggage in reception upon check-out, allowing you to explore the city without carrying your bags. You can retrieve your luggage at your convenience later in the day. If you require additional time to use your room, we recommend booking an extra night at the end of your tour.
