Day 1: Mainz - Embarkation

Welcome to Mainz! Arrival transfer from Frankfurt Airport and embarkation aboard the MS Crucevita 4* (or similar) begins at 4:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage at reception and take the opportunity to explore the city at your leisure. The evening will include a welcome reception and dinner on board as we set sail into the night.

Day 2: Cruise - Mannheim - Heidelberg - Cruise

We’ll wake up in Mannheim, a vibrant university town situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Neckar Rivers, famously connected to the car industry. It was here in 1817 that Karl Drais built the world’s first two-wheeled vehicle, and in 1886, Carl Benz’s first automobile rolled through its streets. From Mannheim, we’ll visit Heidelberg, renowned for its 14th-century university and the stunning palace perched atop a hill. As evening falls, we’ll sail into the night.

Its historic center, Grande Île, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 as an outstanding example of a medieval city. The area known as La Petite France, once a bustling district of fishermen and millers, is particularly picturesque with its charming canals. Beyond La Petite France, the historic center boasts numerous landmarks, most notably the majestic cathedral, which stands as a symbol of the city. Overnight on board.
In the morning, we’ll arrive in Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region. The highlight of our visit is the 11th-century St. Peter’s Cathedral, a masterpiece of High Romanesque style with its four towers and twin domes. Alongside the cathedrals of Speyer and Mainz, it stands as one of the greatest achievements of this architectural period. Worms is also a popular starting point for the Deutsche Weinstrasse, a 50-mile route through charming wine-producing towns.
In the afternoon, we’ll anchor in Rüdesheim, one of Germany’s most visited villages. Its historical landmarks, such as Klunkhardshof, the fortified Adler Tower, the millennial Brömser Castle, and the ruins of Ehrenfels Castle, are perfect for discovering the town’s rich history. Overnight on board.

At 09:00 a.m., passengers must vacate their cabins, though luggage can be stored at reception until departure time. After breakfast, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Mainz (please check compatibility with flight schedules), after which our services will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
Note: Our staff onboard will be happy to assist you in arranging a taxi from the ship to Frankfurt Airport at an approximate cost of €80 per vehicle.
