See Harpa concert hall and opera house, the beautiful landmark of Reykjavík Hallgrímskirkja church named by the fames poet Hallgrímur Pétursson. Hallgrímskirkja is a Lutheran (Church of Iceland) parish church in Reykjavík, Iceland, and at 74.5 metres (244 ft) tall, it is the largest church in Iceland and among the tallest structures in the country. Known for its distinctively curved spire and side wings, it has been described as having become an important symbol for Iceland´s national identity since its completion in 1986. You will visit Bessaastaðir the residency of the president of Iceland and the famous Sun Voyager sculpture by the ocean. Drive through downtown to see the Althing Parliament, the office of the prime minister of Iceland and the historic Höfði House, where the two leaders Ronald Reagan and Michael Gorbatjov met where they ended to cold war. Relax in the new and beautiful spa Sky Lagoon where you will relax before going on a hunt for the northern lights. After that you’ll have time ashore to get yourself ready for the Northern Lights frenzy. Northern lights in winter (August 25 - April 25). Iceland is one of the premier destinations for viewing the Northern Lights due to its unique geographical location and minimal light pollution. In 930 the Icelandic Parliament, the first democracy in the world, was established at Thingvellir. Thingvellir became World Heritage Site in 2004. Enjoy wonderful Efstidalur Ice cream farm, where you get a chance to taste our organic and home-made ice cream. Made from our own cows, the ice cream is as fresh as it gets. Breakfast at hotel. Today drive the south coast of Iceland. Seljalandsfoss is 60 m high and it is possible to walk behind it, and get a unique view from behind. Visit hidden gem cave waterfall Kvernufoss. Skógafoss is on of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. Eyjafjallajökull is now famous for it´s 2010 volcanic eruption that disrupted air traffic in Europe. From Dyrholaey is a breathtaking view over the black sand beaches (if accessible). Reynisfjara black beach was, in 1991, ranked as one of the ten most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world. On the way see Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier, flowing out of the ice cap Mýrdalsjökull. Northern lights opportunity from your hotel. Accommodation

Breakfast at hotel. This day will be spent in the National Park of Vatnajökull, with Skaftafell National Park situated near the largest glacier in Iceland and Europe, Vatnajökull. Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is a beautiful lagoon in front of a calving glacier. Enjoy amazing view of floating icebergs in the lagoon and walk between them at the black beach, which is sometime referred to the Diamond Beach. Northern lights opportunity from your hotel.
