Itinerary

Day 1:
Welcome to your Europamundo Trip Style!!! The information about the meeting place and start time of your circuit can be found on your voucher.
Day 1: Frankfurt am Main – Steinau – Lauterbach – Marburg – Bad Wildungen.-
We start our trip leaving Frankfurt to reach STEINAU, where the Grimm Brothers spent their childhood. Here we will visit the Brothers Grimm House (entrance fee included). It is a museum which is located in the house where the brothers lived. This important town was for many centuries a main stop on the Via-Regia road from Paris across Central Europe to Moscow. Time to visit its small but well preserved historical centre.

At midday we will continue our journey to LAUTERBACH where we will have time for lunch and a stroll through these streets that have preserved much of the typical timber-framed architecture. This architecture will accompany us throughout our journey.

We will continue on to MARBURG, the town where the Brothers Grimm studied and where they began their work collecting fairy tales. We will stroll around and visit the university. In its streets and facades we will see motifs that tell us about their most famous stories, such as Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty.

We will finish the day in BAD WILDUNGEN , city of healing waters that will be our resting place for tonight. Acommodation
Day 2: Bad Wildungen – Sababurg – Trendelburg – Höxter – Hamelin.-
We will head north on our fairytale trail. Our first stop will be in the town of SABABURG, where the tale of Sleeping Beauty was born. We will go to the castle where the enchanted princess slept and slept until 100 years after her 15th birthday, when the prince arrived at just the right moment...

We will continue to TRENDELBURG to visit the tower where Rapunzel lived, captured from birth by an evil witch. From this tower she threw her braids so the which could visit her.

Then, we will drive to HÖXTER, through a beautiful landscape of hills and forests. These forests are sometimes so thick that one day Hansel and Gretel got lost in them and found the gingerbread house... Here we will look for a place to have lunch, preferably not in a gingerbread house! Free time to stroll around this small and charming town.

We will head to POLLE to visit Cinderella´s castle. In the afternoon, we will reach HAMELIN. Who has never heard of the Pied Piper of Hamelin? We will try not to follow the Piper if we hear his melody, but we can follow in the footsteps of the little rats of the tale to visit this beautiful city. Accommodation.
Day 3: Hamelin – Boat trip to Emmerthal – Hildesheim - Ilsenburg- Goslar.-
Today will be a special day. We will start by taking a boat to enjoy a beautiful cruise on the river Weser (included).

Once on land, we will follow a romanesque route . We will first visit HILDESHEIM , where we will find two impressive monuments: St. Mary´s Cathedral and St. Michael´s Church, both declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The interior ceiling of St. Michael´s Church houses one of the largest preserved medieval paintings in Europe. Time for lunch in one of the restaurants in the beautiful central square.

Afterwards we will continue to the Harz region in a mountainous landscape with the so-called "German Mountain", Mount Brocken, at the foot of which lies ILSENBURG. Here we will visit another Romanesque jewel: the Benedictine Monastery of St. Peter and Paul (entrance fee included).

At the end of our journey we will arrive at GOSLAR, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a city that has maintained its structure almost intact for centuries, with examples such as its Hospitium from the XIII century preserved in its original state, or its Imperial Palace from the XI century. This building was for 200 years the royal court of the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire. Accommodation.
Day 4: Goslar- Hann Münden – Alsfeld - Hanau – Frankfurt.-
